BTS launches a QI tool for smoking cessation and new Clinical Advice Service for MDR-TB

Tuesday, January 9, 2018

A Quality Improvement (QI) Tool for Smoking Cessation to help hospitals translate data from the 2016 BTS smoking cessation audit into local improvement projects has been launched this week. The tool is available on the BTS website: https://www.brit-thoracic.org.uk/standards-of-care/quality-improvement/smoking-cessation/

Users will find background on QI methodology, sample documentation and examples of how to tackle three main improvement objectives, i.e. referral for stop smoking support; prescription of nicotine replacement therapy and staff training.
