NHS Improving Quality (NHS IQ) Breathlessness Pilot - Wessex Academic Health Science Network

In July 2014, NHS Improving Quality (NHS IQ) launched a national pilot programme to improve speed and accuracy of diagnosis in patients experiencing the symptom of breathlessness. To support the development of the breathlessness pilots the Living Longer Lives team commissioned a scoping research project.

Following this research into existing breathlessness services, the Breathlessness Pilot appointed three sites to test new models of care and changes to the breathlessness pathway: Health First - Ashton, Leigh and Wigan - a Community Interest Company, Wessex Academic Health Science Network, and University Hospitals Leicester (please note data for this site has not been provided).
