The National Respiratory Audit Programme (NRAP) for England and Wales aims to improve the quality of care, services, and clinical outcomes for people with asthma (adults, children and young people) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). NRAP’s COPD secondary care workstream includes a continuous clinical audit of people admitted to hospital with flare-ups of COPD, and a snapshot audit of the organisation and resourcing of care.
