The National Respiratory Audit Programme (NRAP) clinical audit report - Catching our breath: Time for change in respiratory care, presents data on the care received by people with asthma and COPD in hospital, and of people with COPD accessing pulmonary rehabilitation, taken from 126,108 case records entered from 2023-2024 in England and Wales.
One of the report's key recommendations is that BTS should lead the development of a standardised acute care bundle for patients with asthma and COPD on arrival to hospital, working towards May 2026.
