Dr Charlotte Addy
A self confessed Sputumologist, Dr Charlotte Addy is a respiratory physician and Clinical Senior Lecturer based in Cardiff, with specialist interests in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Bronchiectasis. She has research interests in lung infection, inflammation and biomarkers. She is part of the CF Trust Clinical Trials accelerator Programme and European CF Society Clinical Trials Network (ECFS-CTN). She is co-chairing the CF Trust Antimicrobial guideline group, sits on the ECFS Standards of Care Committee and helped write the recent ECFS standards of care.
She also has keen interests in service development, education, training and workforce planning and is TPD for South Wales. She has held a number of BTS posts across multiple committees and is a current member of the BTS Council.
Patient Representative
Sophie Pierce is a Person with Cystic Fibrosis. She is a social worker, a trustee of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the first person with CF to row the Atlantic!
