The Surveillance of Work-related and Occupational Respiratory Disease (SWORD) programme has been monitoring and reporting on work-related respiratory diseases for more than 30 years. Around 350 physicians contribute to the scheme.
Diseases reported through the programme include occupational lung conditions such as occupational asthma, lung cancer and pneumoconiosis.
